Frank Hughes of the Tacoma News Tribune reports: On friday, the NBA docked Sonics coach Nate McMillan $7,500 and center Jerome James $5,000 for comments they made about the officiating following Seattle's 94-83 loss to Utah on Wednesday night.

McMillan was fined for blasting the officiating crew of Nolan Fine, Ronnie Nunn and Bill Spooner during his postgame news conference for what he felt was a disparity in foul calls.

James was fined for saying, "Whenever you come to Utah , it is five of us against eight of them."
