Celtics ownership is hoping the FleetCenter crowd can give the Nets a hard time when the Eastern Conference semifinals move here tonight. But a hard time within reason.

With much talk regarding the pockets of fans that used poor language in last year's playoffs while recalling Jason Kidd's brush with the law, the focus won't entirely be on the floor for Games 3 and 4. In light of that, the Celtics are putting an additional emphasis on security.

``I want to say that we want to give the Celtics quite a welcome home and make it uncomfortable for the Nets to play,'' co-owner Wyc Grousbeck said. ``But we will be very disappointed if there's anything inappropriate done at the game. And we will take the strongest measures, because that's not part of basketball. We're taking everything very seriously.

``We want to keep this the way the game should be played and the way the game should be watched. And that means all the good Boston stuff that we always do and none of the nonsense.''
