It appears the chances of University of Cincinnati coach Bob Huggins or former New Orleans Hornets coach Paul Silas becoming the next coach of the Cavaliers are slim.

You can also add interim coach Keith Smart to that slim-chance list.

Apparently, neither Silas, Huggins nor Smart has the criteria that General Manager Jim Paxson is looking for.

"Our criteria coming out of the gate is to add a coach who's a proven winner in our league and has had success not only in the regular season but in the playoffs," Paxson said yesterday. "Getting the right coach in place is important, and part of this plan in going forward. We're in the interview process right now. I don't anticipate getting anything done this week but we want someone in place before the draft on June 26."
