Milwaukee Bucks assistant coach Sam Mitchell is one of four remaining candidates for the vacant Toronto Raptors head coaching job, according to a source at the NBA Finals.

Former Raptors coach Lenny Wilkens was dismissed at the end of last season. The Raptors are not looking to hire a high-profile, big-salary coach because they will still be paying Wilkens $5 million next season.

Mitchell played 13 seasons in the National Basketball Association with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Indiana Pacers before retiring before this season to join the Bucks as an assistant coach. Mitchell talked many times during the regular season about his desire to become a head coach.
