By next week the Toronto Raptors should have a new coach.

Richard Peddie, the president of the Toronto Raptors, said yesterday that "we're getting close" to picking a replacement for Lenny Wilkens, who was fired after the National Basketball Association season concluded.

Peddie said there is a "high probability" the Raptors will make an announcement about the new coach next week.
