Eddie Jordan, coveted as a head coach by the 76ers and the Washington Wizards, could receive job offers from both teams within a few days, numerous NBA sources said yesterday.

Just hours after New Jersey fell to San Antonio on Sunday night in the NBA Finals, the Nets assistant coach had meetings scheduled with Sixers president Billy King and Wizards owner Abe Pollin.

King was unavailable for comment yesterday.

Before the weekend, it was unclear whether Portland was in the running for Jordan's services. The Trail Blazers are pursuing Ed Stefanski, the Nets' director of player personnel, for the job of general manager.

But the picture is clearer now.
