The Celtics have decided not to bring back strength and conditioning coach Shaun Brown, according to several team sources. Brown, who held the position for six years, is the first member of the basketball administration not invited back since Danny Ainge became director of basketball operations last month.

Brown supervised in-season weightlifting programs and offseason conditioning regimens. At the Chicago draft camp earlier this month, Ainge said he was going to evaluate everyone, including Brown, team doctor Arnold Scheller, and trainer Ed Lacerte. Ainge also made it known that he viewed conditioning as an area the Celtics could improve.
