The murky San Antonio River took on a hue of silver and black Wednesday night as thousands of cheering, screaming fans paid homage to their NBA champions, the San Antonio Spurs.

An estimated 300,000 fans ? many decked in championship T-shirts and chanting "Go Spurs go!" ? lined the River Walk for the celebratory parade.

The televised procession, which wound its way from the Arneson River Theater to the Augusta Street Bridge, featured barges festooned with silver and black ribbons and carrying Spurs players, the Spurs Coyote, coaches, team officials, and city and county leaders.

The crowd went crazy as "San Antonio's very own Twin Towers," David Robinson and Tim Duncan, along with coach Gregg Popovich, floated by.

"This has been the ride of my life," Robinson told the roaring crowd.
