"With the fourth pick of the 2003 NBA draft . . ."

Skip tonight's preliminaries. After LeBron James, Darko Milicic and Carmelo Anthony are minted millionaires, NBA commissioner David Stern will get down to the real business -- and fun -- of the draft.

The first domino to fall could come with the No. 4 pick. The New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls have had steady talks with Toronto general manager Glen Grunwald about moving up -- for a price, of course.

The Knicks covet waterbug guard T.J. Ford, and the Bulls are in scramble mode after the career-threatening injuries to guard Jay Williams.

Grunwald, in the final year of his contract, needs instant help in the form of a proven scorer to complement oft-injured Vince Carter.
