Bobby Sura is excited about coming to a winning organization and playing for Coach Larry Brown.

"I feel I'll be his type of guy," Sura said Monday when he was introduced to the media at the Pistons' practice facility. "Tough-minded, good on the defensive end and able to bring a lot of energy.

"I'm certainly excited about being here in Detroit with the way the team has gone the past few years with the playoff runs and with Larry Brown coming in this year. ... It's going to be a good situation. I haven't been on a winning team for a few years."

Sura, a 6-foot-5 eight-year veteran, was traded last week from Golden State for Cliff Robinson and Pepe Sanchez. Sura is expected to assume the role played by Jon Barry, a shooting guard who signed with the Denver Nuggets.

"We're very similar in the toughness, hustle and energy aspects, (but) Jon was a two guard basically and I think I'm able to play both positions and defend both of them," Sura said. "So, we're a little bit different in that regard."
