The most notable point guard options remaining in free agency are Kenny Anderson, Mark Jackson, Bimbo Coles and Shammond Williams. All are expected to campaign for a spot with the Heat, and Coles might be in to visit with the Heat as early as today.

Anderson has spent time with the Sonics, Hornets and Celtics the past few years and still considers himself a starting-caliber point guard. The Heat has expressed some interest in Anderson as a potential backup.

Jackson was a backup to John Stockton last year and can provide Riley with the floor general he desires when he wants to slow the pace of the game.

Coles, a former Heat guard who played for Riley in 1996 before being traded, could be a third emergency point guard.

Given last year's abysmal .412 team shooting percentage, the Heat might also be in the market for a shooter. Former Heat guards Steve Smith and Voshon Lenard are both still available free agents.
