Orlando Magic head coach Doc Rivers could be fired as early as Tuesday, this according to sources of the Orlando Sentinel.

While Rivers will coach Orlando's game tonight at Utah, they do have two off-days before their game at the Phoenix Suns and it is speculated that a change could happen as soon as then.

"(Sentinel) sources indicate management has a short list of candidates at the ready."

One possibility is current assistant coach Johnny Davis, who was head coach of the Philadelphia 76ers during the 1996-97 season.

Another is assistant coach Dave Wohl, who was head coach of the New Jersey Nets during the 1985-87 season.

The Magic have lost 9 straight games since winning their season opener at New York.
