PHILADELPHIA (AP) Allen Iverson will miss the Philadelphia 76ers' game against former coach Larry Brown's Detroit Pistons on Tuesday night because of a right knee injury.

Iverson, the NBA's leading scorer at 29.4 points per game, didn't travel to Detroit with the 76ers. He banged his knee during a 93-90 victory over Miami on Friday.

``He just needs rest and to stay at home,'' 76ers coach Randy Ayers said. ``The MRI looks good, but hopefully with an extra day of rest, he'll be OK. He just needs to get better.''

Aaron McKie will start in Iverson's place against Detroit.

Iverson could have a full week between starts, because Philadelphia's next game isn't until Friday against Denver.

Philadelphia leads the Atlantic Division despite an 11-10 record. Detroit (14-7) is second in the Central Division.
