NEW YORK (AP) Detroit Pistons coach Larry Brown was fined $7,500 by the NBA on Wednesday for failing to leave the court in a timely manner after he was ejected during a game.

Brown was thrown out with 16 seconds left in the first quarter of the Pistons' 100-88 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday after picking up his second technical foul from Bill Spooner.

Brown started walking down the sideline toward the wrong exit, then made a beeline toward Spooner and had to be restrained by Rasheed Wallace and Corliss Williamson before departing.
