Citing sources, Peter Vescey says that after the NBA Finals, Tracy McGrady will notify Magic team executives of his plans to opt out of his contract after next season.

Vescey quotes his source as saying, "That?s a fair assumption."

So let the flood of trade offers begin.  In fact, Vescey claims that the Magic phone lines are already lighting up with the prospective new employers of McGrady.

With the danger of losing him without compensation, the Magic would have to seriously entertain the possibility of swapping their superstar for the best deal out there.  And perhaps sooner rather than later.

Vescey says, ?The media, of course, is already throwing out unconfirmed proposals.?  Oh yes of course.  Hang on ... I?m seeing a pot and a kettle ... the pot is saying something about the kettle ....

Vescey cites one report that has the Suns ready to send Shawn Marion, Joe Johnson and a Number 1 Pick for McGrady but then cites his own source to debunk the rumor.

"The Suns aren't willing to do any deal other than Marion straight up.  Johnson is not and will not be included."
