According to court documents, Phoenix Suns? star Amare Stoudemire received almost $125,000 during his senior year at Cypress Creek High School in 2001-02 by a sports agent who Stoudemire is now battling in court.

John Wolf was Stoudemire?s Minneapolis agent and said he paid Stoudemire "cash advances" against the player?s first NBA contract, totaling $206,069.28 in a 15-month period from October 2001 to January 2003.

The periodic payments ranged from $300 to $25,000 based on the lawsuit Wolf filed against Stoudemire in the U.S. District Court of Minnesota.  Stoudemire failed to respond to the lawsuit so Wolf won a judgment and the Suns began to garnish Stoudemire's wages under court order.

"If he accepted money from an agent, it would have rendered him as a professional, and he would have been ineligible," said FHSAA Association Commissioner Dan Boyd. "There's a possibility that if we get confirmation that this did occur, we would declare him as an ineligible athlete."
