Toronto forward, Morris Peterson is being sued by private-school teacher/model Daphne Charlemagne for allegedly infecting her with genital herpes.  The lawsuit consists of two types of damages, $1 million in general and $500,000 in special.

The case was originally filed in June 2002 and is just now making it to court.  A judge is to set a trial date this coming Wednesday.

"The medical condition she now suffers as a result of the negligence of the defendant will prevent her from engaging in any meaningful relationship with other men and the prospects of marriage are remote," Charlemagne's statement of claim says.

Charlemagne is also asking for $4,000 a year in damages until she reaches the age of 40 to replace modeling income she?s allegedly lost after contracting the disease.  Along with that she is asking for $2,000 a year for the rest of her life to help treat her condition.
