Reggie Miller got off to a great start for the Indiana Pacers, scoring 23 points.  Miller missed the first 15 games of the season with a broken hand, and was then served a one-game suspension for his role in the Detroit brawl.  With Stephen Jackson suspended until February, he will have to shoulder a heavier backcourt load than the Indiana brain trust predicted prior to the beginning of the season.

Golden State was sparked to a 104-96 victory by Mickael Pietrus, who scored 15 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.  It was another impressive performance from the Warriors' second-year player from France.
