Toronto Raptors All-Star Vince Carter left Wednesday's game with the Detroit Pistons early in the second half after injuring his left Achilles' tendon and did not return.

In the first minute of the second half, Carter was driving the baseline when he pulled up.

He was treated by trainers from both teams, and walked off with the help of teammates. He went the locker room for further examination.

The Raptors said Carter would not return to the game and his status beyond that was unknown.

Carter has been a heavily talked about player on the rumor mill and this injury could delay any potential trade.
