The trade rumor discussed earlier today has come to fruition. Carlos Arroyo has been dealt to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for Elden Campbell and a future first round pick.

This move gives the Pistons some much-needed depth in the backcourt. It also might be a signal that Larry Brown is ready to give Darko Mililic more playing time. With Campbell's departure and the recent buyout of Derrick Coleman, Larry might be forced to use Darko more.

This is an addition by subtraction trade for the Jazz. It was clear that Arroyo wasn't happy in Utah and Jerry Sloan, the Jazz coach, wasn't happy to have him on the roster. A move needed to be made.
