The Seattle SuperSonics today announced Kevin Calabro, an award-winning play-by-play announcer for the Sonics for the last 18 seasons, will call six NBA games on ESPN Radio. In his schedule of broadcasts, he?ll cover the L.A. Lakers at Cleveland game on Feb. 13, Detroit at Sacramento on March 6, Houston at Sacramento on March 13, Minnesota at Sacramento on April 3, L.A. Lakers at Sacramento on April 10 and Dallas at the L.A. Lakers on April 17.

Sports Radio 950 KJR AM?s Mike ?The Gasman? Gastineau will provide the play-by-play duties for five upcoming Sonics simulcasts on FSN and KJR AM. He will be filling in for ?Voice of the Sonics? Kevin Calabro, who will call six NBA contests for ESPN Radio.

Gastineau will skipper the broadcast booth for Sonics games on Feb. 13 vs. Dallas, March 6 vs. Phoenix, March 13 at New York, April 3 at Golden State (all of which will be simulcast on FSN and KJR) and April 17 at Minnesota (a radio-only game on KJR).

Gastineau, whose show ?The Gasman? can be heard on KJR weekdays from 5-7 p.m., has served as Calabro?s substitute on Sonics broadcasts several times since 1997. He will join FSN?s Sonics game analyst Craig Ehlo behind the microphone to call the Sonics action.

Gastineau has been at KJR since 1991 and handled Sonics pre- and post-game coverage from 1992 to 1998. He often broadcasts his weekday show live from courtside at KeyArena before Sonics games.
