Karl Malone is set to call it a career this Sunday at a news conference which will be held at the Delta Center.

The forty-one year old Malone underwent knee surgery last summer, and claims to be healthy and works out every day but has not played since last season with the Los Angeles Lakers. He joined the Lakers in an attempt to win his first NBA championship, but failed to do so despite playing with Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant.

He had a falling out with Bryant after he was accused of making a pass at his teammate's wife.

There was speculation that he would join the San Antonio Spurs in an attempt to win that elusive title, but instead he will retire.
