The Celtics went on an offensive tear in the 2nd quarter of Game 1, outscoring the Pacers 39-11 to se the tempo that they continued throughout the 2nd half, on their way to a 102-82 win.

Raef LaFrentz scored 21 points on 8-9 shooting, including all five of his 3-point attempts.  Five other Celtics were in double-figures, including Paul Pierce, who didn't score a field goal until the 4th quarter.

Stephen Jackson led the Pacers with 25 points.  Reggie Miller made just one field goal, as he could never get started.  Neither could forward Jermaine O'Neal, who scored just 7 points.

Game 2 is again in Boston on Monday, as Indiana will attempt to even the series before it swings to Conseco Fieldhouse.
