It looked as though they might be able to pull it off and even the series at 2-2.  After being up by as many as 9 points in the fourth quarter, the 7th seed Philadelphia 76ers eventually fell to the Detroit Pistons 97-92 in a fantastic game in Philly.

Allen Iverson wowed the fans with another superstar performance scoring 36 points and dishing out 8 assists.  It wasn?t enough, as Pistons point guard Chauncey Billups countered Iverson scoring 25 points, 12 of them coming in the fourth quarter.

Willie Green of Philadelphia had a chance to put the Sixers up one with 3.1 seconds left in regulation with two freethrows spawning from an over-aggressive Billups foul, however he was only able to split the pair sending the game into overtime where the defending champs eventually ran away with the game.  With the wins, Detroit takes a commanding 3-1 in the series making it very difficult for the Sixers to come back and escape the first round.
