The Indiana Pacers took control of the series by defeating the Pistons by a final score of 79-74, taking a 2-1 lead.

In a low-scoring game, Reggie Miller scored 17, including a long two-pointer in the final seconds, which sealed the game for Indiana.  Jamaal Tinsley chipped in 16.

Chauncey Billups was the game's high-scorer with 23 points.  Rip Hamilton had 16 points, but fouled out in the final moments and gave Detroit one less offensive weapon down the stretch.

Jeff Foster scored eight points and grabbed 12 rebounds, giving the Pacers an unexpected contribution for the second straight game.
