The NBA Playoffs Eastern Conference Finals Game 7 between the Detroit Pistons and Miami Heat was the most watched NBA playoff game in cable television history.  TNT?s Monday night coverage, which saw the Pistons overtake the Heat to advance to the Finals, drew a record 6.75 million households (7.5 cable rating/6.2 US rating).

The Pistons-Heat Game 7 also ranked as television's #1 program for the night in all key demos, beating broadcast and cable outlets in delivery of adults 18-34 (2,741,000), adults 18-49 (5,094,000), men 18-34 (1,847,000), men 18-49 (3,511,000) and men 25-54 (3,345,000).  Additionally, the series finale ranks as this year's #1 NBA Playoff telecast (cable or broadcast) among adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54; men 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54; persons
2+; and households.

The 6.75 million viewing households surpasses the previous cable high for last year?s Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals between the LA Lakers and the Minnesota Timberwolves (6.46 million households).
