Manu Ginobili scored 15 of his 26 points in the fourth quarter to help get the Spurs an 84-69 victory over the Detroit Pistons.

This was a night when Tim Duncan proved yet again that he is one of the NBA's most dominant power forwards to ever walk the floor.  He scored 24 points and grabbed 17 rebounds.

On a poor shooting night from Richard Hamilton, Chauncey Billups, who was not offered a hand from Larry Brown during the pregame introductions, scored 25 points.

Rasheed Wallace scored just six points, all in the first eight minutes and Antonio McDyess was 1 for 8 from the floor.

Game 2 is on Sunday in San Antonio.
