Detroit Pistons coach Larry Brown is joining the players in criticizing the NBA?s pregame entertainment featuring prolonged introductions, a washed-up Will Smith, a screeching Alanis Morissette and a very bored crowd.

"Pop told me he had about four guys almost trip over cords," Brown said. "We had a couple of guys almost stumble off the platform, and somebody got mad at me because I was in the way of a cable.

"I don't think it had any effect on the game at all. I just think it takes away from our sport. ... I think this is about basketball."
