And so we remain stuck in the circle of life...

Milwaukee Journal Sentinel writer Charles Gardener reports that while fired Bucks coach Terry Porter continues to inch towards a position with the Portland Trail Blazers, Milwaukee's own situation seems to be stuck in neutral.  Nate McMillan is currently the favorite for that position, but 'Mr Sonic' could just as easily return to Seattle.

The Bucks are waiting for news from Detroit, where coach Larry Brown's agent, Joe Glass, is scheduled to meet today with Pistons president Joe Dumars.

If the Pistons remain patient with Brown's uncertain health and the 64-year-old coach keeps his job in Detroit, it might pave the way for former Minnesota Timberwolves coach Flip Saunders to join the Bucks.

Saunders is waiting to see what happens in Detroit while he ponders a return to coaching. He still is owed $5.5 million for the final year of his contract with the Timberwolves in 2005-'06, and Saunders could opt to sit out next season.

The Bucks want to fill their vacant coaching position before their summer league team reports to the Cousins Center next Monday for the Minnesota Summer League.
