The Cleveland Cavaliers have named Lance Blanks and Chris Grant as assistant general managers, Cavaliers General Manager Danny Ferry announced today.

"We are thrilled to bring both of these guys to the organization," Ferry said.  "Both Lance and Chris are high quality people."

Prior to joining the Cavaliers, Blanks served as the director of scouting for the San Antonio Spurs.

"Lance will be instrumental to the future of the Cleveland Cavaliers organization," Ferry said.  "He is an intelligent, trustworthy and hard working person and he brings rich experience both as a former NBA player and a NBA executive.  He and I had a great working relationship and friendship in San Antonio and I am looking forward to continuing both in Cleveland."

Grant comes to Cleveland after spending the last nine seasons with the Atlanta Hawks.
