The stats look good, his coach is praising him, his teammates enjoy being with him on the court.

But Larry Hughes isn't satisfied; he's graded his performance the first week as a Cavalier as below his professional standard.

``I'm not yet where I want to be,'' Hughes said after scoring 16 points in Monday's victory over the Toronto Raptors. ``I'm not in a groove or a niche.''

After four games, Hughes is second on the team in scoring, averaging 14.5 points along with three rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 steals. He's also done a good job getting to the line and converting his chances, going 18-of-21 in the four games. Those are solid numbers, especially on a team with other offensive weapons.

Hughes, though, is far from happy. He's not pleased with how he's shooting the ball or with the way he's playing defense. He's shooting just 38 percent from the field and hasn't been able to convert on numerous open jump shots. He has also experienced a little bit of foul trouble in the early going.

``I don't think I've played well on offense. I'm not making shots I know I usually make,'' Hughes said. ``I'm still making an adjustment. This is a different style of basketball for me, learning what to do and what not to do.''
