Mavericks guard Jason Terry missed Tuesday's game against the Indiana Pacers because of a strained right hamstring.

The injury occurred last week in the Mavericks' home loss to San Antonio. Terry had tried to play through the pain, but he's hoping that skipping Tuesday's game, along with two extra days off before Friday's game at Memphis, will allow the injury to heal.

Terry is the Mavericks' second-leading scorer, averaging 16.3 points per game.
