T.J. Ford will not be able to help the Milwaukee Bucks end their current slide.

Ford is expected to miss the next two to three weeks with a left midfoot sprain, Bucks general manager Larry Harris announced on Thursday.

Ford, who suffered the injury in the first quarter of a 109-98 loss at Miami on Tuesday, received the prognosis after being evaluated by foot specialist Dr. Eric Malicky earlier Thursday.

The eighth overall pick in 2003, Ford had started all 26 games this season, his first since coming back from spinal cord surgery that forced him to miss all of 2004-05. The guard leads the team in assists with 6.7 per game and is third in scoring with 13.2 points.

Without Ford's services, Milwaukee will try to snap a two-game losing streak when it hosts the New York Knicks on Friday.
