According to The Journal News, the future of Knicks coach Larry Brown was discussed at length again yesterday by team officials, who appear to be very much in agreement. Negotiating a buyout is the next likely step.

Brown, who is still owed $40 million over the next four years, is set to follow the path paved by previous Isiah Thomas hirings Don Chaney and Lenny Wilkens, whom were collectively paid $15 million by the Knicks to leave.

Singling out players such as Stephon Marbury in public angered Dolan, who likes to keep controversy to a minimum. He wants a company man on the sidelines and believes Thomas will make a world of difference in that role.
