Minutes after the Pistons finished their work Sunday, the Heat began prepping in earnest.

Finally, they knew their fate. And it'll begin Tuesday night in Auburn Hills, where the Heat and Pistons play Game 1 of their conference final series.

"We're happy to be here and we have no excuses, whatsoever," Heat coach Pat Riley said Sunday night, after his team practiced in the morning and returned for a shootaround after Detroit ousted Cleveland with a 79-61 win in Game 7 of their series.

"We're rested. We're healthy. I think we're happy," Riley said. "And I hope we're humble, or more humble. We have to go up there and we have our work cut out for us with Detroit in Detroit. They're a great team."
