Sixers' GM Billy King said on Friday that guard Willie Green did not pick up a $744,551 option on his contract for the 2006-07 season by Thursday's deadline and became a restricted free agent.

Asked whether the Sixers would try to sign Green, King replied: "We're going to do our best."
