The Trail Blazers resumed draft preparations Monday with a solo workout of LaMarcus Aldridge, a 6-foot-11, 234-pound forward/center who entered the draft after two seasons at Texas. Aldridge is projected as a top-five pick.

Tyrus Thomas, a 6-foot-8 forward from Louisiana State who also is projected as a top-five selection, pulled out of a scheduled solo workout with Portland today. Art Sasse, Blazers vice president of communications, said Thomas' agent informed the Blazers that a team with a higher draft spot than the Blazers had promised to select Thomas.
