Monta Ellis was hurt during the Warriors summer league practice session on Thursday, the Mercury News is reporting.   The extent of the damage, if any, will not be known until further examination, a team spokesman said.

Ellis, a 6-foot-3 guard, was driving into the lane, then pulled up just as 7-foot center Patrick O'Bryant -- the Warriors' first-round pick in this year's draft -- jumped to meet him. Ellis immediately lost the ball, screamed in pain and took several steps off the court before falling to the ground.

``He just planted,'' Warriors Coach Mike Montgomery said. ``We'll wait until tomorrow and see what happens.''
