A report in the Rocky Mountain News Monday revealed that Nuggets forward Kenyon Martin and coach George Karl may not be making much progress in their attempt to mend their fractured relationship.

Martin, who was suspended for the remainder of the Nuggets' first-round series with the Clippers after a run-in with Karl, spoke with the coach for the first time since the incident at the Vegas Summer League Saturday.

Last week, Karl had said, "Hopefully we'll be able to work it out. There's a high likelihood that he could be part of the team come October. He's got to be ready for that, and I've got to be ready for that."

The pair crossed paths again Sunday at a summer league game. So how are things going?

"Man, they ain't going well," Martin told the News from his courtside seat Sunday. "Leave me alone."
