The Seattle SuperSonics today re-signed Chris Wilcox, Sonics General Manager Rick Sund announced. Per team policy, terms of Wilcox?s new contract were not disclosed, but media reports indicated it was three-years $24 million.

?We?re thrilled to welcome Chris back to our team,? said Sund. ?We indicated this summer that getting Chris signed was a priority and he is on board. The Sonics had a winning record after acquiring Chris and we want to build on that success. He?s a good fit in Bob Hill?s system and the style that Bob likes to play.?

Wilcox appeared in 29 games last season with the Sonics, averaging 14.1 points, 8.2 rebounds and 30.1 minutes. The 6-10, 235-pound forward shot 59.2 percent (167-for-282) from the field and scored 20-plus points six times.

?This is a win-win situation for the Sonics and myself,? said Wilcox. ?I enjoy Coach Hill?s style of play and the team really started to come together at the end of last season. I?m excited to get this season started.?
