Sam Presti was named a vice president of the Spurs on Wednesday. He has gone from intern to assistant general manager in just six years time.

Presti has been a major player in the success of their scouting department and some of his duties now include the business side of things.

"He's capable of doing anything now," Spurs general manager R.C. Buford said. "We feel really fortunate to still have him."

"I feel very fortunate to have the chance to learn from R.C. and Pop," Presti said. "I don't know if this could have happened somewhere else.

"My only focus is to try to find ways to contribute to what they have already built."
