Pistons coach Flip Saunders saw the sharpness exuded by his players in Thursday's practice take a sharp decline near the end. That's when he decided to shut down practice a few minutes early.

"We were sharp earlier on some things that we did," Saunders said. "But as we progressed, as we got into it, we got a little bit sloppier. I don't like to pick up bad habits. So rather than pick up a bad habit, I just said `enough is enough, let's end it and I don't want to see you out here shooting. Just get home and get some rest so we can come back (today) and have two good ones (practices).'"
