New Jersey Nets guard Marcus Williams has been diagnosed with a sprained left wrist, Nets President Rod Thorn announced today.  The injury occurred at practice today, October 17, 2006.  Williams will remain out indefinitely.

Williams, the Nets First Round selection (22nd overall) in the 2006 NBA Draft, ranked 2nd in the NBA in assists (7.7 apg) and 3rd among all rookies in scoring (15.0 ppg) in three preseason games.
