Jared Jeffries had a CT scan on his surgically repaired left wrist yesterday and was cleared to begin non-contact drills, with the possibility that he could return to the lineup in two weeks.

Team doctors said Jeffries' wrist is healing as expected. He will continue to wear a splint today when he begins catching, shooting, and upper-body lifting. "It doesn't hurt, but it's stiff," Jeffries said at the morning shootaround. "They say that will go away in a couple of weeks."
