Pacers center Troy Murphy didn't play Saturday at Memphis, one night after breaking his nose in the first quarter of Friday's 95-84 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers.

Pacers Coach Rick Carlisle said he hopes Murphy will be available for Monday's game against his former team, Golden State.

``He's going to have to have a mask,'' Carlisle said.

Murphy, who was among the players traded to the Pacers on Jan. 17, missed the Warriors' last four preseason games after breaking his nose against Portland on Oct. 17.

Mike Dunleavy, who played with Murphy at Golden State, estimated that Murphy has broken his nose five or six times in the 4 1/2 seasons they have played together.
