Cal center DeVon Hardin declared himself eligible for the NBA draft, but left open the possibility of returning for his final college season by not hiring an agent.

Hardin, who played in only 11 games this past season before sustaining a stress fracture in his left foot, has averaged 6.6 points and 6.0 rebounds during his career and is fifth on the Bears' career blocked shots list.

"I am looking to get an evaluation of my game and find out where I am physically," Hardin said in a statement released by the university. "The only way to get better is to compete against the best. I want to see where I stand, and my decision will depend on how I do against those guys."
