In another scary medical development, David Lee did not make the trip to Chicago last night because he was scheduled to undergo a battery of tests to figure out why his leg has healed so slowly, according to Lee's Chicago-based agent Mark Bartlestein.

Lee was last diagnosed with a stress reaction, which is a precursor to a stress fracture. The concern is that Lee's lower leg has developed into a stress fracture. An MRI and CAT-scan were expected to be performed.

Lee is likely out for the season.

"You don't want to damage your future by doing something in the present right now," said Thomas, who declined to reveal that Lee will undergo more testing.

Jamal Crawford was diagnosed with a stress fracture in late February after it was not diagnosed for weeks.

"I think that's what they're trying to find out with the tests [on Lee], why it's still hurting so much," Bartlestein told The Post.
