Magic shooting guard Grant Hill told the Orlando Sentinel after Wednesday's shootaround that there's still a possibility he could retire after the season.

Asked whether he would return next season to play for the Magic, Hill said, "I don't know. I just don't know. I'll take some time [after the season] and see where I'm at. I'm just trying to enjoy the moment, trying to stay in the present. I'm having fun."

Hill, who is in the final year of a seven-year contract for $92 million, said he has all but ruled out joining another team next season that is closer than the Magic to contending.

Hill, 34, said the biggest factor in considering retirement is his well-documented physical condition. He has undergone five surgeries on his left ankle and a surgery to repair a hernia last season. "It's a factor, definitely," he said.

As he watched ESPN basketball commentator Bill Walton -- a former college and NBA star -- limp across the Detroit Pistons' home floor, Hill shook his head. Walton's pro career was limited by a series of foot surgeries. "I don't want to walk around like that," Hill said.
