The New Jersey Nets? Lawrence Frank and the Golden State Warriors? Don Nelson today were named the NBA Eastern and Western Conference Coaches of the Month, respectively, for April.

Frank guided the Nets to an Eastern Conference best 7-2 record, including a 4-0 home mark. The Nets won their last four contests to finish the regular season with a 41-41 record, good enough for second place in the Atlantic Division. New Jersey defeated Chicago 106-97 on April 18 to earn the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs.

Nelson led the Warriors to an 8-1 record on the month, including an impressive 121-108 win over Dallas on April 17. The team earned its first postseason berth since 1993-94 with a 120-98 win over Portland on Wednesday night and its .888 winning percentage represented the team?s best April in franchise history.
