Jermaine O'Neal will have surgery next week to repair torn cartilage in his left knee. O'Neal suffered the injury Feb. 3 at Memphis.

"The doctors said I needed surgery, but I chose to stay with the team and make a push (for the playoffs)," O'Neal said. "I literally played on one leg for two months. It was a difficult situation, but that's what it was."

O'Neal said he anticipates a rehabilitation period of 4-6 weeks.
